What exactly is a fanlisting? Well, according to TAFL a fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject.

Gekka no Kimi 月下の君 is a seven+ volume manga which is a historical romance written by the talented manga-ka, Ako Shimaki. The story follows the life and loves of Hikaru Genji, the hero of the worlds' first novel, The Tale of Genji, and Lady Murasaki, the woman who plays the main female lead as well as the author of the book. As stated in the book, Hikaru Genji is the son of the Japanese Emperor and lost his mother when he was young. His father was madly in love with her though and became greatly saddened by her death. However, when he is older his father married another woman, Lady Fujitsubo, whom he falls in love with. As she is his father's wife though, their romance is forbidden and thus Genji finds a series of other loves to occupy himself.

One day though, he runs across Murasaki, whom looks like Lady Fujitsubo but is a little girl, and he kidnaps her to raise her to be his ideal. However, soon Murasaki and Genji fall in love but Genji can't stop his other affairs. Enter the present time, one thousand years later, when the reincarnation of Genji, a high school boy named Hazuki, is at school. Hazuki is a typical boy with one problem; being punished for his past sins, can't even touch a woman. On that very day while Hazuki is skipping class, his classmates start reading The Tale of Genji and as events unfold in the book parallel things happen between Huzuki and a girl who transferred into his life that first day, the reincarnation of Murasaki.
